Happy
Canada Day! July 1st…What a great celebration of this amazing and
beautiful country. We hope everyone played safe and had a TON of FUN! And how
about those FIREWORKS? Our human relied on us a lot that day. We did some
wandering, standing to watch fireworks, a bit of dancing. A memorable day for
this pair of busy fellas.
Take
a look at our picture; can you tell we have been working out? Yes, we sure have
been! That simple commitment made July 1 so much easier for tired feet. We have
asked our human to commit to a half hour a day for a walk, at the very least. He
has accepted our request and we all feel so much better for it. Some days it is
not easy; he has a hard time finding time to fit it into his schedule, or we
are sore or lazy and just want to assume our position on the ottoman or coffee
table…
WE GOT THIS!!!!!
DID YOU KNOW… that the
average person walks around the world three times in their lifetime?
DID YOU KNOW… that each of
your feet have more than 40 muscles and tendons, 36 complex joints, 107
ligaments and 26 bones? That means they have more than ¼ of all the 206 bones
of the body all in themselves.
DID YOU KNOW… that one of
the best ways to keep your joints, and bones, and muscles young and healthy is
to stay active?
DID YOU KNOW… that walking
is probably the best exercise that you can do other than swimming?
DID YOU KNOW... although
exercise improves everyone’s health, it is even more essential for diabetics? Not
only is it good for your heart, brain, bowels and spirit, but it also improves
insulin resistance, increases the circulation, decreases cardiovascular
disease, decreases blood sugar levels, and helps control weight, and
circulation to your legs and feet.
