Recipes: Vegetable Dips

I love dips – all sorts of dips! Dips for chips, vegetables, fruit, vegetable rolls, and crackers. You can make a dip for just about anything you can think of!! All these delicious dips are truly easy to make and contain no artificial additives or preservatives, which are the best part. Mix up a few of these for your special Father’s Day celebration.

Vegetable Dill Dip

1 cup sour cream                                 1 cup mayonnaise
1 tbsp dill weed                                  1 tsp parsley flakes
1 tsp seasoning salt                             1 tsp minced onion
Dash garlic powder
Mix all ingredients together thoroughly and refrigerate for one hour.

Vegetable Dip

2 cups mayonnaise                              3 tbsp chili sauce
1 tbsp curry powder                            ¼ tsp salt
¼ tsp pepper                                        1 tbsp chopped onion
1 tbsp garlic powder                           1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Blend all ingredients together and chill before serving.

Vegetable Dip

2 cups plain low fat yogurt                 1/3 cup minced fresh onion
1 pkg. frozen chopped spinach, thawed and drained
1 envelope Lipton vegetable soup mix
Combine all ingredients – cover and chill before serving.

Ranch Dip for Vegetables

1 - 24 oz. cottage cheese                     8 tbsp sour cream
1 pkg dry ranch dressing mix
Use food processor and cream entire carton of cottage cheese until it becomes very smooth and creamy. Add sour cream and ranch mix and blend. Great served with raw vegetables or baked potato, also great with pretzels.

Creamy Crab Dip for Vegetables

Drain and slice a 7-½ oz. Can of crab and combine with a 3 oz. package of softened cream cheese, add 1 cup sour cream, 1 tbsp lemon juice, 2 tbsp finely chopped green onion, ½ tsp Worcestershire, ¼ tsp salt and ½ tsp dill weed. Blend and chill.
