SIMPLE SUPPER MEAL FOR FATHER’S
DAY
Chuck Steak Paisano
It is sooo yummy, your dad is
going to love it! It is easy-peazy, too!!
Quickly brown, but do not cook through, 1 1/2 pounds of diced chuck steak or another cheaper cut of meat, in oil. Remove meat with slotted spoon and set aside.
Add:
2 medium diced onions
2 diced bell peppers and cook until soft.
Add 32 ounces canned tomatoes
4 tbsp sweet pickle relish (this is the key ingredient)
1 tsp basil and salt and pepper to taste
Add meat and bring mixture to boil, reduce heat, cover, and simmer 45 minutes.
Stir in about four cups of your favourite cooked beans, or about three 15-ounce cans. I find the white beans work the best. Heat through and serve.
