The Newsy Neighbour Magazine is launching... The Ten Best Local Companies to Work For competition. This special designation recognizes the amazing business owners that keep their employees happy.

Selection Process
Employers will be evaluated by a team of judges. We are currently looking for volunteers to help us with this process. Employers will be judged on (1) Physical Workplace; (2) Work Atmosphere & Social Relations; (3) Health, Financial & Family Benefits; (4) Vacation & Time Off; (5) Communication amongst employees and employer; (6) Performance Management; (7) Training & Skills Development; and (8) Community Involvement.

Eligibility Requirements
This competition is open only to businesses licensed in Chestermere, Langdon and Strathmore. Businesses must be willing to work with The Newsy Neighbour Magazine. We will come to the place of business, take photos & interview employees. Businesses must be willing to provide information on benefits, vacation, training, etc. Businesses do NOT have to provide financial information.

2016 - 2017 Competition & Nominations
Nominations will open June 1st. Anyone can nominate a business through our website. The interview and judging process will happen in the months of July – August and the winners will be announced in our September issue. Top 10 businesses will get a special profile in the September issue of the magazine.
